Clues – Part 1

What you need 

supplies for mystery cal - part 2

– Cotton yarn (or any other yarn you prefer) in colour Α & dark grey

* about the colours take a look at the Mystery Cal post

– crochet hook for yarn you use

– scissors

– tapestry needle

– stitch marker or thread of yarn (whatever works for you) as you will work in continuous rounds (spiral)

– soft toy stuffing

Abbreviations (US Terms)

mr – magic ring

sc – single crochet

inc – increase: work 2 sc in same stitch

dec – decrease: work 2 sc together as 1. *Tip: do this by putting your hook only through the front loops of the stitches

rnd(s) – round(s)

(…) – number of stitches in this round

[] x … – repeat instructions within [] x … times

With colour Α and dark grey, make 1. Start with colour A.

Rnd 3. [sc, inc] x 6 (18)

Rnd 4. sc, inc, [2sc, inc] x 5, sc (24)

Rnd 5. [3sc, inc] x 6 (30)

Rnd 6. 2sc, inc, [4sc, inc] x 5, 2sc (36)

Rnd 7. [5sc, inc] x 6 (42)

Rnd 8. 3sc, inc, [6sc, inc] x 5, 3sc (48)

Rnd 9. [7sc, inc] x 6 (54)

Rnd 10. 4sc, inc, [8sc, inc] x 5, 4sc (60)

Rnd 11. – 19. (9 rnds) 60sc (60)

Rnd 20. Change to dark grey, in back loops only: 60sc (60)

Rnd 21. Change to colour A, in back loops only: 60sc (60)

Fasten off and cut the yarn. Weave in ends. Stuff firmly.
